This flooring features a cross ply-wood core and a thick “wear layer” of Acacia. The species and construction combine to offer a superior stability and durability, allowing for nail down, glue down or floating installations. The installation method you choose will be dependent on which sub-floor type you are installing over, as well as how comfortable you are with the project. The floating installation is the least difficult, a matter of gluing the boards together over an underlayment, and can be installed over both concrete and wood sub-floors. The glue down option is the most labor intensive and expensive option, but also can be done over both wood and concrete sub-floors on or below grade. This means you can either glue down or float over concrete sub-floors whether they are on the ground floor or in the basement. The nail down install is only allowed over ply-wood or OSB sub-floors, and while it is easier than the glue down it is more difficult than a floating installation. The 7 layer finish is among the best in the industry, providing a high scratch resistance and beautiful appearance. When looking for versatility in both installation options and performance, the Myrtle Beach delivers on all counts.
Do not use a wet spray micro fiber mop, or wet swiffers. Never use wax, polish, abrasive cleaners or scouring agents as they may dull or distort the finish.
For normal everyday cleaning use a broom or a DRY swiffer to sweep up any debris. For hard to clean spots use a lightly damp cloth or mop to clean or you can use a hard surface spray cleaner, just spray a light mist on the floor and then mop with a DRY micro fiber mop. Avoid using excessive moisture. Too much moisture can cause warping, or buckling which is not covered under warranty. All spills should be cleaned up immediately.
Use protective pads under furniture. USE CAUTION: Planks are slippery when wet.
It;?s a good idea to save a few panels in case of accidental damage. Planks can be replaced or repaired by flooring professional.
Please read and review installation instructions completely before proceeding with the actual installation.
